    • Phillip Kouvelas — The 15 year-old shot a career high 715 which included a career high 290 game

    • Bob Lande — Shot his second 300 this year

    • Katie Ruszczak — Shot a huge 740 series the 4th round of the IHSA Girls’ State Tournament to finish in 3rd place. She will be bowling for NCAA powerhouse Arkansas State this fall.

March, 2024

    • Connor Anderson—Bowling for Southern Nazarene University finished second in the SWIBC Conference Tournament making the All-Tournament Team, and was named SWIBC All-Conference and Rookie of the Year

    • Francheska Davis--Finished 3rd shooting 1,169 in the IHSA Hoffman Regional and in 6th shooting 1,166 in the Palatine Sectional

    • Jana Finnen—Was the Individual Champion shooting 1,313 in the IHSA Romeoville Regional and finished 2nd in the IHSA Palos Hills Sectional

    • 14 year-old Kitty Hoernemann shot her high series of 544 and game of 211

    • Brianna Merner—Finished 4th shooting 1,144 in the IHSA Libertyville Regional and finished 3rd shooting 1,180 in the IHSA Fremd Sectional

    • Chris Richter—Bowled his 3rd career 300 game—the last ones were in 1996. After having both ankles, knees and hips replaced he started bowling again. Fun fact: Chris is a beef cattle rancher and dog breeder and listens to BowlTV as he's working with his cattle

    • Abby Starkey—Shot a 299 game and finished 5th in the PBA Jr. Nationals

    • Abby Starkey—Finished 2nd in the Texas Storm Youth Championship—winning the Short Pattern round and finishing 2nd in the Medium Pattern round




Febuary, 2024

    • Courtney Adams shot her high series of 694, won the Northwest Indiana High School Mystery Mixed Doubles with partner Nick Foust, made the All-Tournament Team at the Holiday Tournament, finished 3rd at the Greater Lake County Conference Tournament and was named to the All-Conference Team, and finished 4th in the Indiana High School Singles Sectionals advancing to Regionals.

    • Ethan Caruso committed to collegiate powerhouse Savannah College of Art and Design

    • Alivia Baskin won her first Minnesota Junior Bowlers Tour event

    • TJ Czabaj was the individual champion of the Winnetka (New Trier) IHSA Sectional Tournament

    • Jana Finnen was the individual champion at the Reavis Rock ‘N Roll Holiday Bowling Tournament shooting 1,425 for 6

    • Bobby Habetler made the All-Tournament Team at the Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic—his 3rd ATTeam and 2nd Tier-1 ATTeam this season and won his 8th Elite Youth Tour Title

    • Vaughn Kator on games of 289, 256, 300 set the Lakeside Recreation house record of 845 on 1-11-24

    • Bob Lande on games of 278, 300, 278 set the Lakeside Recreation house record of 856 on 1-14-24 just three days after Vaughn Kator’s 845 series broke the record

    • CJ Mendoza finished 7th individually in the Grayslake (North) IHSA Sectional Tournament

    • Noah Moreno finished 3rd individually in the SWSC Varsity Conference Tournament with a 1,274 series

    • Joey Wascow finished 3rd individually in the Grayslake (North) IHSA Sectional Tournament

January, 2024

    • Courtney Adams—Made the All-Tournament Team finishing 3rd in the Northwest Indiana High School Bowling Region Rumble

    • TJ Czabaj—Won the Mundelein Invitational and the Warren High School Blue Devil Open, and bowled a 300 game during a match between Lake Zurich and Stevenson High School

    • Bobby Habetler—Bowled his 12th career 300 game subbing in a league at Strike ‘N Spare Lanes

    • Noah Jones—Finished 3rd in the Oak Lawn Spartan Classic

    • Brianna Merner—Finished 2nd in the Antioch Invite

    • Grant Osharow—Shot a 300 game and 794 series during a match between Vernon Hills and Niles North High School—the 3rd highest VHHS series ever, and the 5th VHHS bowler to shoot 300. He was averaging 169 at the time

    • Winston Petri—Finished 2nd in the Mundelein Invitational and bowled a 300 game during a match between Mundelein and Grant High School

    • Abby Starkey will be a part of “Go Big Red” announcing her commitment to perennial NCAA Women’s Bowling powerhouse University of Nebraska, Class of 2029

    • 13-year-old Kyden Willms bowled his first 600 series—a 604 series in the Lakeside Recreation Parent Trap League

    • Bobby Habetler, bowling for Saint Xavier University, made the All-Tournament Team finishing 2nd at the NAIA Invitational

    • CJ Mendoza bowled his first 300 game during an IHSA match between Vernon Hills and Evanston high school

    • Winston Petri along with his partners Jason Miller and Trae Henrichsmeyer won the Junior Hall of Fame Tournament

    • Ashlee Shoemaker was named the Greater Lake County USBC Star of Tomorrow

    • Zack Shoemaker shot a 297 game during an IHSA match between Vernon Hills and New Trier high school

    • Abby Starkey was presented her USBC U18 Youth Open Championship Doubles Eagle she won with Gianna Brandolino in July

    • Anthony Swanson was presented his USBC U15 Youth Open Championships Doubles Eagle he won with Luke Switalski in July

November, 2023

    • Courtney Adams, made the All-Tournament Team finishing 4th in the Northwest Indiana High School Bowl-a-Rama

    • Connor Anderson, bowling for Southern Nazarene University, finished 7th and 18th in the October SWIBC (Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference) Tournaments

    • Brianna Andrew finished 7th in the 2023 PWBA BowlTV Classic in Wyoming, MI

    • Bobby Habetler, bowling for Saint Xavier University, made the All-Tournament Team finishing 3rd in the Midwest Collegiate Tier I Championship

    • Abby Starkey was the high bowler in the second round of the Midwest Youth Main Event U18 division shooting 224, 249, 238, 257, 247 (243 average) besting 2nd place by 200 pins

    • Abby Starkey won the October ISST for her second ISST victory

    • Anthony Swanson won the Midwest Youth Main Event U15 Division—he won it in 2022 also

    • Trisden Willms bowled his highest series—176-203-235 for a nice 614 series—he’s 11 years old




October, 2023

    • Courtney Adams was named to the Elite Youth Tour Youth Advisory Board


    • Abby Starkey traveled to Sweden to participate in the Storm Lucky Larsen Masters in addition to participating in a match between the Storm Evolution team and the Swedish Youth Academy. The Storm team won 13-7 and Abby had the highest score on the Storm team.

    • Anthony Swanson won the PBA Jr. Midwest Regional--he won it last year also--his third overall!

    • Scott Wolfe finished 3rd in the IESA State Tournament, shot a 300 game, 767 and 775 series, and was awarded the North End Junior Travel League Jim Dreyer Scholarship Award for his bowling and sportsmanship.




September, 2023

    • Ed Arias shot a 299 game and his average increased from 206 to 217 in the past year

    • Jerod Witmer—shot a 300 game after his first lesson—his last 300 was 23 years ago!

    • Winston Petri won his first Elite Youth Tour tournament and went 50 clean at the PBA Jr. National Qualifier in his last block of qualifying

    • Sharlyn Soto-Gutierrez after recently switching from 1-handed to 2-handed bowling shot her highest 2-handed game of 194

    • Abby Starkey won her 14th Elite Youth Tour tournament and won the 2023 PBA Jr. Midwest Regional (she won it last year also) and qualified for the 2023 PBA Jr. National Finals

    • Anthony Swanson won back-to-back Elite Youth Tour tournaments and his 3rd overall.
